Black silicone piece goes down like a butter – What a great remake of an old 2.0 version. I use to fight the silicone piece trying to push it back into the cap after disassembling and washing all pieces. It was soooo hard, eventually i just gave up and use the cap with the half way silicone piece sticking out. Now, the new version 3.0 goes down like a butter. Thank you for rethinking and making a better sports cup. And it’s a great bonus that it comes with a small closing cap. I love green color! But please add more colors so I can replace my old cups with more fun colors!

Weird whistling noise – This works great, but the auction is so tight it whistles really weirdly. Not an issue for some situations, but I wanted this for nursing my baby and the noise was not ok.

I hate straws – These fit my Hydro Flask insulated bottles perfectly. They are very easy to open and close, and just right for drinking. I run them through the dishwasher to clean them. Easy-peasy!

Whistling sound – I thought it was black from the pictures, but I do like the green. Definitely still a whistling sound!! Also hard to clean.

It DOES chirp, despite the promises in the product description that it doesn’t! – A few years ago, I bought two Klean Kanteen bottles with these sport cap lids, and the lids were fine. They make a very small amount of suction noise when drinking from them. Recently, I bought 6 Klean Kanteen bottles on Amazon with sport cap lids, and every one of the lids makes loud chirping noises when drinking from the bottles. I read the descriptions for these lids, and they specifically say that they corrected the problem of “chirping.” Well, they did not. I bought 6 lids. It irritated me to have to buy lids to replace brand new lids that came with new bottles that I had recently bought here on Amazon, but I was willing to do it if it solved my problem. It did NOT solve my problem, because the lids made identical noises to the lids that came with the bottles that I recently purchased. Out of the six lids, there was one that had the tiny round silicone “plug” removed. It did not chirp, but I purposely tipped the bottle over with water in it to see how much water leaked out and a lot of water leaked out. I had studied my own lids before buying these, and I suspected that if I pulled out the silicone “plugs,” it would solve the chirping problem, but I also assumed that water would leak out that hole if it tipped over. My assumptions were proven correct on both accounts with my testing of the lid that had the silicone plug removed. I know that it is possible to make sports cap lids that do not chirp, because I have two Klean Kanteen sports cap lids that came with bottles I bought in early 2020 that do not chirp. They must have been made somewhere other than where these lids were made. DO BETTER, KLEAN KANTEEN!!!

Perfect – This item works perfectly. I was a bit concerned because of all the reviews that complained about the whistle noises. Here what I figured out: if you tip the bottle into you mouth without creating a vacuum or sucking the water out there is no whistling. Or you can simply put a finger gently over the air spout (where the whistling comes from) and this will stop the noise.
