These do not work – I bought these whistles as an alternative to the standard whistle I use to get my students to line up after recess. I was looking for something loud enough to get their attention that I wouldn’t have to put my mouth on (because COVID). I was so excited about these whistles but was super disappointed by their performance (or lack thereof). One of the two whistles already had a hole in it upon arrival. I still had hope for the other whistle that was fully intact, but when I squeezed it, it sounded nothing like a whistle. It made a soft, high, squeaking noise that none of my students heard. There is a little ball in the top that is supposed to make the standard whistle noise, but it did absolutely nothing.

Not a good choice for recess duty – I bought this because I teach little ones and they always grab my whistle. While I enjoy that I only have to squeeze it this avoiding germs, it is just not loud enough to effectively get the attention of my students.

Definitely buy this – Amazing to have in a tumbling/acrobatic setting. Any coach can grab a whistle and use when necessary. Perfect for attention getting and the kids like having a turn as incentive for finishing a skill. Very loud and effective.
