Work good but overpriced for pieces of foam – Good product but I believe they are very overpriced for pieces of foam that are similar to foam used in packaging electronics/other expensive items. I think they work great but could definitely be a lot cheaper for what they are.

Small! – I haven’t used it yet so I’m not sure how easy or how well it will stay put. The material is firmer than I expected. And it’s not very wide. We’ll see how it goes.

Measure your kayak. – These are great, and exactly as described.

Kayak – I was going to use this as storage in my truck for transportation, but soon found they slide around once weight is applied. I’m sure they have good use, just not for what I was trying to do..

Perfect for my needs – I built a kayak trailer with flat decks along each side for hauling kayaks. It works great for plastic kayaks, but my fiberglass surf ski has enough rocker built into the hull that it needed some support at one or both ends. For short trips to the bay, one pad works great. Longer distance transport is best performed with a pad under each end of the ski to cradle it more gently. Whether I need a short or long transport, the pads work great and have just enough flex to compress them under straps and ensure they can’t pop loose when bumpy roadways are encountered.

Great stability! – The fit perfectly on my Yakima round bars and I feel like they really lock in my kayak. No wiggling around even going 65 down the high way – and they don’t dent the kayak hull even when I crank down on the straps – they seem to distribute the pressure really well. I drive with much more comfort and confidence with these than my previous system as the kayak just doesn’t move! I used to always be stopping to check how much it had shifted and was always worried it would slide around. Easy, cheap, stable – I’m very pleased!

Caution – Beware: This foam block will not fit square Thule crossbars without modification (see picture).

Very useful cushion – I use these to cushion and support my kayak or canoe in the bed of my truck. Very useful and easy to use.
