Great purpose-built, easy to use timer – This is a great timer for intense, solo exercise – sprints, laps in the pool, the sort of thing where the inconvenience of holding a typical stopwatch is significant. I use it for sprinting so I don’t have to hold a stopwatch in my hand while I go – just one less thing to think about when moving at my limit. It is good for this – the button has a nice, solid click to it, it is about as easy to access as possible, the display is small but very clear, the operation is simple – nothing extraneous to complicate things, nothing to think about at all.

Overpriced but works – This is an extremely simple stopwatch. On, start, stop, reset. Leave it alone for ten minutes for it to turn off – one feature I didn’t like. Once the strap has been adjusted to your finger size, the stopwatch can be slipped on and off.

Changed how I train – I’m a very high-level Masters swimmer and I have been using the SportCount for a number of years now. I have both the yellow version and the Race-Pace (light blue) version. If used it to track thousands of splits over that time and has completely changed how I train. Being able to track the time for every interval in a set provides a level of detail I never had before when I just looked at a clock. Being able to see my pacing provides a level of motivation during my workouts that I have experienced. I am able to have absolute confidence in the splits to help track progress during a workout as well as across workouts. For my personal style of training, the light blue Race/Pace model is ideal but I have the yellow for backup and for specific sets. I hope they never stop making this product.

Real neat timer but… – The timer is a really neat idea. I am using it for timing outdoor intervals on a bicycle and maybe it was the heat but the display turns a blotched blue which makes it difficult to read the display. Maybe it works better in the water. I am disappointed, but it is better than nothing.
