Good Quality Cycle Computer – I like this Cycle Computer due to its display and simplicity in giving the rider basic information. It was quite a bit of a challenge to program the computer at first, but stay with it. Once you get it, you will be happy and maybe question your understanding on “How To”. It is small so controlling the back button while pushing the font button can be rather difficult at first. If you truly study and understand the instructions that come with it you will finally “Get It”. Quality seems really good!

Reliable every time – Sigma bike computers work well. They are not sexy. But you can count on them working properly and providing you with the information you need on the road. This is my fifth Sigma, and all work well, were easy to install, and easy to use. The 9.16 has the right functions (sans cadence) with a readable display conveying speed, time, distance and average pace for the ride (at, above, or below). I had to replace the sensor battery at installation, as the device had been sitting on a shelf for too long, waiting for me. The U.S. Sigma support line continues to be an excellent source of help when you need them.

Easy of use and visibility – The bike computer works very well and covers all of the items I’m concerned with. The basic reset for setting the bike’s wheel size, etc. is a little cumbersome to use, but the other features work well.

Does not work – I bought one of these to replace a Sigma 12.12 that had worked fine for 14,000 miles before failing. The sensor on the new 9.16 would not transmit to the receiver. I tried replacing the battery and the magnet. Didn’t help. I assumed I had received a defective unit and returned it for a replacement. The second unit also did not work – same behavior. The unit did not transmit even when you waved the magnet right by the sensor. I gave up and bought a Bontrager cyclocomputer that worked right away. Looking at all the older reviews, clearly some people receive a Sigma 9.16 ATS that works – and others do not. I can only guess that this is the result of abysmal quality control. Not worth the hassle of hoping you get a good one in my view.

Sensor dead after 2 years – Bought this in June 2018. I’m not a frequent rider and only ride during the summer and early fall. The sensor is the problem. I spent a lot of time messing with the battery thinking that this was the problem but after testing the battery that I was using and then a new one, I found that it’s not the battery. The screw-on cap for the battery is impossible to get a tight fit but even after zip-tying it tight and making sure the sensor was aligned and close to magnet on spoke, I concluded that the sensor was broken. I’m not going to buy a sensor replacement at $25 and will just buy a different brand bike computer. It worked fine when it worked but I’d expect that it would last more than 2 years.

could not program – I have had Sigma computers in the past and I like them a lot. Easy to read and easy on and off the bike. This BC 9.16 could not program it. I went to U Tube for more info. It seamed good just didm’t work. I called for help and explained my problem. The nice man said we will send you another one. It came the NEXT DAY! Looking at the box, it had been opened before and sent back. That is ok, if I could get it to work. I could not. So I sent the second one back. Amazon makes it easy to send things back. I don’t like doing that because it is such a wast of tome and money.

Best Computer Made + Largest Digits Available – Sigma makes a great cycle computer that is easy to use. I purchased this to replace my Sigma BC1009 (wired) that broke after 8-years of use (my fault, not product).
