Susceptible to mold growth. – I love the style but I wish tervis would make one that doesn’t grow mold so quickly.

Great Quality Lid! – I bought this when I wore out my last lid. This lid (and bottle) is awesome. I probably used my last lid/bottle almost every day at work for two years. I work at a library so I am always moving around, and I would constantly carry my bottle with my finger hooked through the lid. It took a long time but the rubber in the lid eventually wore down and only nearing the very end of its life did it get a tiny crack (but it still worked fine). It has survived many drops from a few feet up and even more tipping over/ falls. My only tiny complaint is that if I got water in the threads of the bottle/lid and didn’t dry it then it would leak a bit when I went to use it (but that hasn’t happened with my new lid).

Leakproof lid – I have bought endless amounts of water bottles. I’m a little rough on them with my job. This is the only lid I’ve found that is truly leak and spill free! Caution though, it ONLY works on tervis water bottles….NOT tervis tumblers despite description.

My replacement HAS a gasket – My first lid for my Tervis was in a car accident (lid didn’t survive but cup did). Second cup lid started leaking (not good on work clothes for sure, plus the tea was HOT at times). Read reviews on Amazon. THOUGHT MAYBE my third replacement lid might NOT have a gasket to fail. It does. We’ll see how long it lasts. Washing THIS replacement by hand though. No top rack dishwasher test from me (not the THIRD time). I must really like my 24 oz cup, hunh?
