Seals nicely and convenient – This lid is a nice accessory to specific Yeti tumblers and mugs. It works with a “slim” tumbler we have currently that came with a locking lid to prevent spills. This lid is made for this model and it fits perfectly. The seal is great, no leaks or spills when closed and tightened. To drink, you just push the little button and the top pops open to reveal a straw shaped opening, making it easy to drink from. As another reviewer pointed out, leave some room at the top of the container for air so that the drink flows readily, or else it will become air locked and you only get a slow dribble of liquid. The lid is made of a nice material and it can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher.

Perfect – I’ve always disliked the standard Yeti chug cap for the 64 oz jug I have. But it’s the only thing they have available. This cap flips up and and stays on so you don’t have to set it down somewhere clean (pretty impossible if you’re on the beach or camping) while you pour your drink. The jug I have is big, so it’s awkward to pour from. With this cap, I can easily hold the jug and the lid handle while pouring. The handle is sturdy, comfortable while carrying, and rotates easily. The lid doesn’t leak and it secures and locks with a little latch that’s easy to operate. I see this lasting a long time.

The pop top covering the straw pops open with a press of the button on the side. But also, if you slide that button up it “locks” it so that it can’t accidentally pop open while it’s dangling from your backpack, etc.
