Basic and simple – Product folds up nicely and is fairly lightweight. The hold down straps are the type that you feed the nylon straps through a plastic buckle and I foresee frayed ends and frustration. The hole for the hitch pin is 1/2 inch which is smaller than the 5/8 inch pin you will have in your hitch. They give you a special bolt which requires two 3/4” wrenches. I drilled the hole out to 5/8 so I can use the same pin that holds my hitch in. If you are hauling your bikes on the yearly vacation, this is your unit. If you are hauling your bike on a regular basis, spend some extra money and one with a better fastening system than the setup on your school backpack.

Worth the money, a bargain, but you gotta put in some effort – This rack is well worth the money, it will do the job it advertises, even on girls bikes, suspension bikes, and step through bikes, but your gonna have to put in about an hour, THE FIRST TIME, of taking the bikes on and off a lot of times to figure out how to get them all on and secure. But after you’ve done it the 1st time and taken a pic of how they are arranged, it takes only minutes from there on out.

As Described – Works well for our needs.

Not terrible, but understand how it works before buying. – I took some time to use this product before I wrote my review because I wanted to be able to help people decide if this was right or wrong for them before spending their hard earned money on this. So for starters, here is how I am using the bike rack. I have it attached to the hitch of my pickup truck and we usually only travel about 10 miles to where we ride.

Great for this first-timer – Easy enough to put together and install, but not likely able to easily accommodate 4 adult bikes without some bike Tetris

Great bike rack – The rack works great but wish it was delivered in a box rather than put the shipping label in the actual product. Easier for people to see what they were stealing if it were ripped off

It is OK for occasional use! – I bought this rack for occasional use, and for that, it is worth the money. To be sure, this is not a precision made rack as it wobbles side-ways and up and down. One can control the sideways wobble, to a certain extent, by tightening the lock pin. The up-down wobble is a different matter. A shim might help, but overall it does not seem to be a big issue unless your road is full of potholes. Most of all, I would only use it for two regular bikes, may be three! – it just does not seem to be strong enough for more!
